Jack Rabbit Hill, out of Colorado, just sent out a press release announcing that they are “now Demeter-certified Biodynamic®, completing a two-year transition from USDA-certified organic practices that began in March of 2006. The estate winery and distillery are two of only 39 agricultural producers in North America to embrace the rigorous Demeter Biodynamic standard.”

More from the release:

Weve only scratched the surface of biodynamic farming, but were already seeing marked improvements in the quality of our soils and fruit, comments owner/founder Lance Hanson. The benefits of BD farming are real and tangible. No other standard offers us so many ways to farm superior products with greater economy.

Look for more great wines and a biodynamic vodka from Jack Rabbit Hill soon. Congratulations on their certification!
