Alchemilla, the skin care and beauty company, has moved its operations from San Francisco Bay to Oregon for more operating space, to increase their in-house growing of ingredients, and to reduce their carbon impact by being closer to their suppliers.

Via their press release,

Although the majority of Alchemilla’s plant ingredients are currently sourced locally from organic, biodynamic and ethically wild-crafted suppliers, the firm is converting its Oregon property into a Biodynamic Herb Garden. “This way, we can more closely monitor the cultivation and harvesting of our plant ingredients, while gaining an even greater understanding of their healing potential.

Alchemilla is a fascinating company with the husband and wife team of Brian and Deanna Vazquez running the company.  Brian brings his background in molecular cell biology to the company’s product development.   Be on the lookout for their products as the company grows post-transition.
